The Subaru Forester comes in two powertrains, and that is the first decision rather than the trim. The gas Forester uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder rated at 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The Forester Hybrid uses Subaru's hybrid powertrain, rated at 194 horsepower and is offered in Premium, Sport, Limited and Touring.
