Subaru Supports Bark in The Park - Mary M.

In the sunny town of Vero Beach, there's a special day each year that everyone looks forward to – the Bark in the Park festival. Think about a park with more than 10,000 people and their happy dogs, all having a great time. But it's not just a regular party. On this day, everyone comes together to help our furry friends. And guess what? Dyer Subaru is right in the middle of it! Dyer Subaru isn't only about cars. They really care about animals, especially the ones at the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County. These two have been working together for a long time to make Bark in the Park extra special. Every year, Dyer Subaru sets up a cool booth at the festival. It's not just any booth – it's a place where people and dogs can play games, win prizes, and even check out a new car. The folks at Dyer Subaru work hard to make it fun for everyone. But here's the best part: Dyer Subaru doesn't just bring fun to the festival. They also help a lot of animals! Thanks to them, over 500 pets get shots to stay healthy. And that's not all. They give extra help to pets without homes, making sure they're safe and taken care of in Indian River County. The awesome staff at Dyer Subaru do more than just give money. They dive in with both feet! They come up with fun ideas for the festival and make sure every Bark in the Park is a day to remember. Some people might think a car place only cares about selling cars. But Dyer Subaru shows they care about much more. Their friendship with the Humane Society isn't just about business. It's about love, care, and making sure our furry friends have the best life possible. Every Bark in the Park Day proves that when good friends team up, amazing things happen!

Running Into Nesting Season - Tipsy Turtle Fun Run & Festival! - Cristina M.

Annually on Easter weekend, Coastal Connections presents its Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile Fun Run and Festival. This event is a sustainable, family-friendly, event where all proceeds help support Coastal Connections mission to protect coastal habitats for sea turtle survival by educating and connecting people to the environment. This was the 4th year of the Tipsy Turtle event and it was record breaking with 448 participants. This year, everyone learned about the critically endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtle. A few years ago CCinc embarked on a collaborative research project to study these turtles using underwater cameras to learn more about their behaviors and interactions to further management efforts. We could not have had such a successful Tipsy Turtle event without the dedicated support of Dyer Subaru Vero Beach! Thank you!

Happy Children at The Hope for Families Center - Lydia L.

The Hope for Families Center (HFC) is a shelter and program that helps homeless families get back on their feet and teaches them to live sustainably. Many times, these families have nothing but each other. Despite the circumstances of the families living at HFC their children still grow, and clothing and shoes become worn but without the luxury of being able to provide new. Enter Brandon Reynolds and his team from Dyer Subaru. They generously brought new shoes and socks for all of the children living at the Center. The staff was genuinely overwhelmed by the excitement and appreciation of the families because of this very useful gift. The children's faces were priceless as they chose their brand-new shoes, an experience that does not typically occur for a homeless child. Connection with our community is essential to the staff and families of The Hope for Families Center. Dyer Subaru, you have outdone yourself, and your generosity is accepted with extreme gratitude. Thank you!

Scrappy Finds His Furever Home at DYER! Subaru Pet Adoption Event! - Steve S.

“The DYER! Subaru Adoption event is always a very special day for the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County. We had a total of 24 amazing animals go home with their new families this year. Everyone at Dyer Subaru of Vero beach was incredibly helpful and made sure everything ran very smoothly. We look forward to this event every year and we are looking forward to the next!” -Mary Catherine Morton, Event Coordinator for HSVB I heard about the DYER! Subaru Pet Adoption Event through the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County’s Facebook page. I personally can't go into rescues to search because it makes me so sad. My husband & I went to a few adoption events to look for a furbaby. We were at the Vero adoption event at DYER! Subaru not even 15 minutes when we decided to meet "Scrappy", now "Ozzy" because he was the only dog not barking & just looked sweet. When he was taken out of the adoption trailer & given to my husband. "Scrappy" sat in between his legs & wouldn't stop licking his face. My husband fell in love instantly. ️ Ozzy has been such a good boy. Although he needs a little training, I mean c'mon he's 2, he's great! He's a very spoiled & happy boy! Now he has his forever home. - Cathy Caponas, Adopter of Scrappy

Dyer Supports Patriots For Puppies - Shelly F.

Dogs For Life (DFL), has been saving lives since 2001 by training hearing and service dogs for disabled veterans and other individuals suffering from hearing loss, mobility limitations and the effects of Post-Traumatic-stress disorder. Since 2009, Dyer Subaru has sponsored our annual fundraisers. Not only has Dyer become a Major Supporter but their organization goes above and beyond by serving on our Patriots For Puppies Committee and volunteering their time the evening of the event. Last year Ilena Lutz volunteered her time and expertise to single handedly handle check out of the silent auction items at the end of the evening. Veterans benefiting from these fundraisers report that their service dogs help them stay calm, is their guardian angels, have saved their lives, and given them more independence and freedom. Without the commitment of Dyer Subaru, we could not keep the promise to our Veterans that none will be left behind.

Dyer Subaru Supports Sea Turtle Conservation - Kendra B.

The 2023 sea turtle nesting season in Vero Beach, Florida has been one of the busiest on record with over 6,000 nests laid only halfway through the summer. With this many nests, the Coastal Connections rescue team knew it was going to be all hands on deck to help rescue hatchlings once nests began to hatch. Year after year, we continue to observe sea turtle hatchlings disoriented and lost on the beach due to bright lights or stuck in pools at hotels and clubs. The Coastal Connections rescue team is dedicated to retrieving those exhausted hatchlings and getting them the rest and care they deserve in order to survive in the open ocean. This year our team was able to add a new hatchling drop box to a local fire station to rescue lost and tired hatchlings found by the general public. The funding for this project was made possible thanks to Dyer Subaru after supporting our annual Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile run/walk event on Easter weekend. We appreciate and love the support Dyer Subaru provides our organization every year. Their support makes the conservation success story of sea turtles possible. Ginger's Unusual Story - Tracey K.

Ginger, a blocky-headed beauty, was brought to our shelter more than two and a half years ago. Her journey in finding her new home wasn’t a typical one. She was in and out of homes, trying to find her “place”. She craved one-on-one attention and did not want to compete with another animal in the home. Ginger may have looked intimidating, but was truly a gently soul, with so much love and affection to give. We knew we needed to find an adopter willing to provide her with the attention she longed for and deserved. Thankfully at our October Subaru event, a young family came to the event specifically to meet Ginger. The connection was instant and obvious, and everyone knew that Ginger had found her family that perfectly fit her needs.

DYER Supports A Record Sea Turtle Nesting Season! - Kendra C.

On April 9, 2022, the day before Easter, Dyer teamed up with Coastal Connections to host the Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile Run/Walk to "Run into sea turtle nesting season" in Vero Beach, Florida. As always, the Dyer team was an incredible partner throughout the event. They not only participated in the run to bring awareness to local threats that sea turtles face year after year like trash/debris, climate change, and beachfront lighting , but they made event guests feel welcome and part of a cause bigger than themselves. Dyer's contribution to helping sea turtles survive with Coastal Connections every year is one of the reasons we are celebrating a RECORD NESTING SEASON along Florida's coastline. It takes everyone to make conservation impacts and we know that together with Dyer Subaru, Coastal Connections will help sea turtles recover from the endangered species list.

Subaru Loves Pets - Humane Society of VB & IRC - Jennifer J.

The Dyer! Subaru Pet Adoption event and Bar-B-Q in partnership with the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County held on October 22, 2021, was a huge success. It was overwhelming to see so many individuals attend with hopes of finding a forever friend. By the end of the day, 17 dogs and 2 kittens went home with loving parents. It was a win-win for all! Proud new pet owners Carol Thomas and Eddie Grandal attended the event and adopted Bennie. “We are thankful to have adopted our new pack member,” says Ms. Thomas, “He will give new purpose and more joy to our lives – we got a good one!” Adding everything was well organized, staff was more than helpful, and the Bar-B-Q was an extra treat because “Adopting a pet works up an appetite.” Today, Bennie loves his new home, enjoys car rides, and visiting with his new neighbors, who bake homemade doggie treats for him. This is just one of many happy tails that occurred that day, and we could not have done it without Dyer! Subaru and their generous support!

Share the Love - Melissa M.

Today, for the second year in a row, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with Dyer Subaru delivered 80 blankets, 10 craft kits and 100+ messages of hope to the patients at the Scully-Welch Cancer Center. When we first arrived, we spoke with a PA in the lobby. When she saw that we were delivering blankets, her eyes lit up. She mentioned that last year, the patients at the center loved receiving their blankets and were honored that they were thought of again this year. They truly bring comfort and hope to those receiving treatments. Chad, Jonathan and Ileana from Dyer Subaru were on hand to deliver and were all fantastic - it was a great experience!
