Firefighters for Clean Water Fishing Tournament - Brad E.

The Indian River Firefighters Benevolent Association is a non-profit 501 [c] 3 charity organization established in 2012 with the objective to support the health, safety and welfare of Indian River Firefighting Community. The benevolent provides financial, physical and emotional assistance to over 300 members and their families in times of need. In collaboration with Captains For Clean Water, we have put together an amazing offshore fishing tournament hosted by Sebastian Saltwater Marina and Restaurant. The Indian River Lagoon is considered one of the most diverse estuaries in North America. Roughly 156 miles of mangrove covered shorelines comprised of three main bodies of water: The Banana River, The Indian River and The Mosquito Lagoon. The lagoon has been called “the cradle of the ocean, “ acting as a refuge for countless species of fish, birds and plants. Home to dolphins, manatees and turtles. It serves as a spawning and nursery ground for many of fish species found just offshore Florida’s coast. The lagoon is a key driver to the wealth and health of Florida’s economy generating $7.7 billion annually by providing jobs, housing, tourism, industry and recreation. Unfortunately, the lagoon like most of Florida’s estuaries are in a real crisis. Marine life and sea grass have been decimated by a chain reaction started from fertilizer run-off and waste water redistribution. Now, most of our estuaries have been seeing a massive die-off of fish, sea turtles, manatees and dolphins. The “Firefighters for Clean Water” campaign that your local firefighter/paramedics launched 4 years ago has started to make an impact in helping our beloved lagoon and waterways. We knew that we had to get like minded people and businesses to team up with us to help protect this important and vital ecosystem which is why we reached out to Dyer Subaru. Subaru is committed to protecting our lagoon and waterways through its dedication to environmental stewardship and community partnerships. By supporting local conservation efforts and sponsoring clean water initiatives like our tournament. Subaru is focused on helping preserve vital ecosystems for future generations. Their support reflects a broader mission to care for the Earth while encouraging others to do the same, because a cleaner, healthier lagoon means a stronger, more sustainable community for everyone. Thank you SUBARU!!!

Dyer’s 1,000 lbs Recycling Milestone - Madeline P.

We had a fantastic time celebrating Dyer Subaru’s impressive milestone with Coastal Connection’s WRAP Recycling Program. Dyer has diverted over 1,000 pounds of plastic film from the landfill and properly recycled it through our program! As the first car dealership to join the WRAP program in early 2024, Dyer Subaru has truly set the standard for sustainability in the auto industry. Their dedication to protecting the environment and reducing waste is a powerful example of what local businesses can achieve. While reducing plastic use is always the goal, we understand it isn’t always avoidable, making programs like WRAP vital for responsible disposal and recycling. Dyer Subaru’s ongoing commitment to conservation is helping to preserve coastal habitats and protect local wildlife. We’re grateful for their partnership and excited to see how they continue to lead by example in our community!

Making Waves on the World Stage - Brandon T.

History is being made on the Treasure Coast of Florida. For the first time ever, a 3 year old local board riders club has been invited to compete in the world club championships against some of the best clubs in the world. Seeing this movement take hold, in 2021, local surfers Brandon Taylor and Brian Dapelo felt that the Treasure Coast with all its surfing history and talent needed representation amongst other clubs in the state. Together they started the 501c3 non-profit Treasure Coast Board Riders Club with a mission to share the love and “stoke” of surfing up and down the Treasure Coast. While they primarily focus on sharing the joy of surfing with the local community by providing scholarship funds, surf lessons, hosting fun competitions, caring for the ocean through beach cleanups, teaching ocean safety, hosting member get-togethers and video nights, they also compete in statewide competitions against other board riders clubs. This year, In partnership with Dyer Subaru & The Share The Love Promise Program the Treasure Coast Board Riders successfully started our new development, after school program. The club helps new & improving surfers take their surfing to the next level by teaching: Ocean Awareness, Surfing Fundamentals, Surfboard Education, Wave Riding Technique and hosting a yearly CPR Certification Course. Additionally, they have already qualified and competed in the Florida State Club Championships in Jacksonville Beach in 2024, only 3 years after their founding. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, later this year, they achieved their most impressive accomplishment to date. For the first time in history, the Treasure Coast Board Riders Club has been officially invited to Coolangatta, Australia to compete in the Usher Cup club championships against 48 other clubs from around the world at the infamous Snapper Rocks surf break. With a solid group of surfers from age 14 to 41, they are ready to make history representing the Treasure Coast on the world stage. The team is composed of 18 year old local pro Gabe Griffin of Fort Pierce, 14 year old pro Marlynn Glaub of Jupiter, 41 year old club founder & Vice President Brian Dapelo of Vero Beach, and 41 year old former pro and club coach Michel Flores of Fort Pierce. With these amazing experiences we have gained, nothing would be reality without the help of of Dyer Subaru & the Share The Love Promise Program. We continue our mission and whether you’re a pro, beginner, or you’re looking to hang with like-minded members of the surf community, we would welcome the opportunity to meet you!

Warm In Vero Beach, FL - Lydia L.

In Florida, we’re often known for our sunny skies and warm weather, but lately, the temperatures have taken a chilly turn, dipping into the 40s. The Hope for Families Center families were unprepared for winter temperatures as the cold was creeping in. That’s when the incredible team at Dyer Subaru came to the rescue. For the past two years, Dyer Subaru, led by Ilena and Brandon, has gone above and beyond in supporting our families. Last year, they provided shoes and socks. This year, their generosity came in the form of warm jackets, donated just in time to protect our families from the unseasonable cold. But it wasn’t just about the jackets—they visited the Center to distribute them, making sure every family member, from the youngest child to the parents, felt the warmth not just of the jackets, but of their kindness. For the families staying at The Hope for Families Center, who have experienced homelessness and uncertainty for far too long, the donation wasn’t just about staying warm. It was a reminder that there is still love and care in the world and that people in our community are looking out for them. As the children slipped into their new jackets, their faces lit up with smiles, feeling physically warmer and emotionally uplifted. Dyer Subaru’s support has truly touched the hearts of everyone at The Hope for Families Center. These jackets are a symbol of hope and dignity, helping families feel seen, cared for, and ready to face the challenges ahead. We are deeply thankful for Dyer Subaru’s unwavering commitment to our mission and for helping us make family homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring

Subaru Supports Bark in The Park - Mary M.

In the sunny town of Vero Beach, there's a special day each year that everyone looks forward to – the Bark in the Park festival. Think about a park with more than 10,000 people and their happy dogs, all having a great time. But it's not just a regular party. On this day, everyone comes together to help our furry friends. And guess what? Dyer Subaru is right in the middle of it! Dyer Subaru isn't only about cars. They really care about animals, especially the ones at the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County. These two have been working together for a long time to make Bark in the Park extra special. Every year, Dyer Subaru sets up a cool booth at the festival. It's not just any booth – it's a place where people and dogs can play games, win prizes, and even check out a new car. The folks at Dyer Subaru work hard to make it fun for everyone. But here's the best part: Dyer Subaru doesn't just bring fun to the festival. They also help a lot of animals! Thanks to them, over 500 pets get shots to stay healthy. And that's not all. They give extra help to pets without homes, making sure they're safe and taken care of in Indian River County. The awesome staff at Dyer Subaru do more than just give money. They dive in with both feet! They come up with fun ideas for the festival and make sure every Bark in the Park is a day to remember. Some people might think a car place only cares about selling cars. But Dyer Subaru shows they care about much more. Their friendship with the Humane Society isn't just about business. It's about love, care, and making sure our furry friends have the best life possible. Every Bark in the Park Day proves that when good friends team up, amazing things happen!

Happy Children at The Hope for Families Center - Lydia L.

The Hope for Families Center (HFC) is a shelter and program that helps homeless families get back on their feet and teaches them to live sustainably. Many times, these families have nothing but each other. Despite the circumstances of the families living at HFC their children still grow, and clothing and shoes become worn but without the luxury of being able to provide new. Enter Brandon Reynolds and his team from Dyer Subaru. They generously brought new shoes and socks for all of the children living at the Center. The staff was genuinely overwhelmed by the excitement and appreciation of the families because of this very useful gift. The children's faces were priceless as they chose their brand-new shoes, an experience that does not typically occur for a homeless child. Connection with our community is essential to the staff and families of The Hope for Families Center. Dyer Subaru, you have outdone yourself, and your generosity is accepted with extreme gratitude. Thank you!

Scrappy Finds His Furever Home at DYER! Subaru Pet Adoption Event! - Steve S.

“The DYER! Subaru Adoption event is always a very special day for the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County. We had a total of 24 amazing animals go home with their new families this year. Everyone at Dyer Subaru of Vero beach was incredibly helpful and made sure everything ran very smoothly. We look forward to this event every year and we are looking forward to the next!” -Mary Catherine Morton, Event Coordinator for HSVB I heard about the DYER! Subaru Pet Adoption Event through the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County’s Facebook page. I personally can't go into rescues to search because it makes me so sad. My husband & I went to a few adoption events to look for a furbaby. We were at the Vero adoption event at DYER! Subaru not even 15 minutes when we decided to meet "Scrappy", now "Ozzy" because he was the only dog not barking & just looked sweet. When he was taken out of the adoption trailer & given to my husband. "Scrappy" sat in between his legs & wouldn't stop licking his face. My husband fell in love instantly. ? Ozzy has been such a good boy. Although he needs a little training, I mean c'mon he's 2, he's great! He's a very spoiled & happy boy! Now he has his forever home. - Cathy Caponas, Adopter of Scrappy
